There are three engines you can choose from on the new 2023 Chevy Tahoe. Unfortunately, the hybrid variant of this full-size SUV was phased out in 2013, so we don’t have any data on the Tahoe Hybrid MPG ratings. What is Dynamic Fuel Management?

The Tahoe 5.3L V8 and 6.2L V8 engines come with Dynamic Fuel Management, helping you maximize fuel efficiency at every turn. How does Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) work? The system constantly monitors your pressure on the accelerator pedal. Every time you press down on or let up on the accelerator, DFM calculates how many cylinders are needed to generate the torque level that matches the pressure on the accelerator pedal. This allows only as many engine cylinders as absolutely necessary to be used at any given moment on the road, saving fuel along the way!
