2011 CHEVROLET AVEO Review
Overview
The fuel-efficient Chevrolet Aveo received powertrain revisions for 2010 that increased its already great fuel economy. Automatic-equipped Aveo models are now rated at 25 city/34 city, while transmission gearing changes to the manual-transmission models enable improved highway fuel economy (27/35/30 city/highway/combine mpg). Available in sedan and hatchback (Aveo5) body styles, the five-passenger 2011 Chevrolet Aveo is equipped with a dynamic engine, advanced technologies that provide outstanding fuel efficiency, and a high-tech standard safety system at an affordable price tag.
Both the body styles are offered in three trim levels - the base LS, 1LT, and 2LT. The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo5 is a five-door hatchback loaded with the same new drivetrain as the four-door Aveo sedan and fresh contemporary features inside out. It has been tuned for quieter ride, optimum fuel economy, and excellent driving capabilities.
Powertrain And Performance
All Chevrolet Aveo trims are driven by a potent 1.6-liter Ecotec engine that churns out 109 horsepower and 106 pound-feet of torque. The engine gets variable valve timing to maximize fuel efficiency and responsive handling. A smooth-shifting five-speed manual transmission is standard on all 2011 Aveo models, while a four-speed automatic is optional on the LT versions. The EPA estimated fuel economy (city / hwy mpg) stands at 27 / 35 (manual) and 25 / 34 (automatic).
