“Dear Mr. Hendrick--This is to express my extreme satisfaction in my recent buying experience at City Chevrolet in Charlotte. It all started with my desire to purchase a new Camaro ZL1. As you know, there is a high degree of enthusiasm for Chevrolet’s newest and historically significant model. Being an avid follower of the ZL1’s development and progress, I was keenly aware that allocations and availability in the first model year could be elusive. In addition, my particular desire to buy this car was to replace a 1967 GTO that I had for almost 30 years. The Camaro ZL1 was the only GM “muscle car” to come along in over 40 years that could fill the void left when I had to sell my first car. My local dealer, with whom I had been in contact for over a year, informed me they did not get enough allocations to fill my order even though I was there, in person, on the first day they became available. On October 24, 2011, I frantically made phone calls to various dealers. I was both fortunate and blessed to reach Chris Goodman and Andrew Snyder at City Chevrolet. Both gentleman informed me that they had, indeed, received notice from GM that they had preliminary allocations for the Camaro ZL1. My meeting with both Chris and Andy was sealed with a simple handshake. I was emotionally moved by both of them and their sincerity. There are not enough words to convey how genuine and ethical they treated me. This was absolutely the best auto buying experience in my life. The pricing promise they extended at the beginning was never altered, even though GM reduced ZL1 availability. Chris and Andy exhibited a motto of “promises made, promises kept.” Also, I want to tell you that everyone on the staff I worked with – from those mentioned above to Chris Boone, Josh Warren, Heather Drayton, and Cedric Lockhart – all extended both a personal and professional attitude that told me they cared about what they do! They are “in it to win it”…from a life standpoint. You are fortunate to have such good people representing you! My thanks to everyone for such a comfortable and honest buying experience. And for the record, I love the new Camaro ZL1 too!
